Brian, I think I have made the changes

Brian,
I got a lesson from you probably close to 2 months ago and have been working on the stuff almost non-stop. We worked on: weaker grip, flattening the left wrist on the backswing (like Tiger at the top), and driving the right shoulder downplane with secondary axis tilt. You have turned my game around. I have eliminated all pushes and pulls. All I do is get on plane going back and flatten the wrist and keep the wrist flat while I drive downplane and all the way to the finish. The only think I have to concentrate on is my swingpath for spin. I feel like Hogan. I line up and hit the ball on my target line with 90 out of 100 balls. I have shot only 2 rounds over 74 since the lesson and the past 2 weeks have been hitting the ball well enough to shoot mid 60's, but I'm missing too many putts.

If you can improve a 2 handicap in 1 lesson (assuming he actually WORKS AT IT) I would be amazing to see what you could do with a beginner or mid handicap player. I can see this forum being #1 on the internet with the quality instruction you give.

I have been working slowly on one thing at a time. The lesson was awhile ago. The grip change, left wrist change, and backswing plane change are really all one thing. Without changing the grip, the left wrist change would do no good and without the left wrist change, the grip change would do no good.

mgjordan: How long have you been playing? 2 is a good standard . Did you have a previous coach or were you self trained?

I started when I was old enough to walk just hitting around the yard with a cut off club. I quit to play baseball and basketball and then hurt my arm pitching. I started playing golf again when I was about 13. I hit a whole lot of balls on my own and had about 6 lessons from age 13 to 18 before I met Brian. Hopefully I can play in college and then play professionally when I graduate. I highly recommend a lesson with Brian if you are ever in his area.
