This is the kind of instruction and swing deconstructions I wish was around 20 years ago.

Prior times...you can imagine people around golf watering holes talking about a particular player's moves, but having no idea how to express them. THIS gives concrete examples and then those people around the table can give considered arguments, instead of half-baked guessing and posturing. Not only that, there are real moves to try that have been offered up.

Nice job bringing some Manzella terms into the analysis too.

Brian;
Thank you your comments on Carl's swing. His swing is just like it was in the early to mid 90's when he was one of my junior's at Starmount Forest CC in Greensboro, NC. It is quite the story as to how his family ended up at our club. It was a great experinece for me and my staff.

Another brilliant video. I doubt any other top 100 teacher would pick one of those moves, never mind all 3 and explain how they all jive together to make a great swing. I hope the general public appreciate what they are getting here.

That's gotta be one of the best swing breakdowns I have seen, really clear simple explanations
Of quality swing. I dread to think how the guys on sky would have gone about explaining
those moves :D

Yeah and also there's no comparison with most of the other videos on Golf.com. But I suppose they have to cater for their visitors who just want pop instruction.

Brian, if one of the winners you analyse wins consecutively, you'll have to find another 3 things about their swing to talk about :)

... and we know that your analysis of Carl's swing is backed up with a solid scientific understanding... without even mentioning Project 1.68 "science".

Adding scientific know-how to your teaching expertise has created a powerful analysis of the golfswing.... which will launch your Top 100 reputation.

(p.s. ... and always remember that long ago I told you TGM Ch. 2 Science was rubbish.....) ;)

I'm pretty sure they're planning a parade in your honor SteveT! :rolleyes:

Question for the Manzella instructors. Would you consider him a handle dragger? I watched a face on of his driver on the telecast and his hands were a couple of inches in front of the clubhead at impact.

A Handle Dragger is someone that is pulling forward on the grip when they should be pulling backward.

Where the shaft is leaning at impact is set in motion WAY before impact.

Just another way to say "Handle Rotation" what Enso calls the bottom of the grip catching and going by the top.
