Ain't no normal punter out there got a clue what you talkin about in that one Bmanz. It almost made my head hurt and I already understand the whole impact thang.

That's why you save it and re-watch it. Everyone says theyre tired of the same old same old. Good video with some real information to get people thinking. No one liner tip bullshit.

In my opinion the best videos are the ones you have to watch a couple of times and digest. Otherwise sometimes it just feels like fluff.

Please excuse my lack of understanding re D Plane but, if you're aiming 8 degrees right and swing 4 left so the resultant path is 4 degrees right, should the club face be 1-3 degrees open to hit a draw? If the club face is square, would you expect a straight (to the target) shot but tailing off with draw?

Yes.

That's what I said.....I did have one clubhead-for-clubface mistake though.

So how do you set up to hit up with a push draw? I still can't wrap my head around how Rory hits up and out so much on the ball and actually gets it in the air with 7 degrees of dynamic loft.

Two thumbs up on the video.
Brian, I couldn't help but notice that it looked like you had the ball positioned about a club head back of your front heel on that drive. I'm still struggling with finding my optimum ball position for driver, and all the other clubs for that matter, but lately I've been placing the ball about equal to mid-sole of my front foot for driver and getting ok results.
Does the fact that it "may" be necessary for me to put the ball more forward in my stance than you reveal a fault I have that I may be masking by having the ball so forward? Or is it just another example of 'if it works don't fix it' or 'different strokes for different folks'? Truth be told I'm leaning towards moving to the "static" or one-position (relative to the front foot a la Nicklaus) ball position for all clubs just because I think my erratic play may improve somewhat if on full swings at least I put the ball in the same place, thus negating having to think about it while setting up to hit the darn ball. Any thoughts on my (possibly self-deluded) scenario? Anyone? Thanks in advance.

Brian - love the golf.com videos! can you talk more about the part about delofting the driver clubface - how does this relate to the "free release"? practically speaking, with the ball teed forward in the stance, how far ahead of the ball will the hands be at contact? Thanks.
