Excellent.

Noticed in the pics that Rory has eyes wide open and on the ball (well, the spot where he just whacked it) and is relaxed looking round the face/neck . Tiger is eyes closed and straining!

Looking forward to putting this drill into action.

In my follow through, my club/shaft gets very vertical and well above plane. I would love to see it get flatter. This could be my ticket.

The link would connect for awhile and now finally it played.:) BM for a second when you said "stand up and put the club level to the ground" My head said "waggle waggle tap tap chip shot backswing" Building block is a great video! This one too!

"Passing through" that position is key. A lot of dominos fall when you get that position correct.

I hit a few at the range today and hit them as far or further then I ever have before. (And it's pretty cold here.) So it's going in the bag.

But I hit some high hooks and pull hooks that would have shamed Ian Baker-Finch.

Any thoughts on fighting that (over then rewatching NHA ;) ) with this swivel finish

You may be rolling too soon coupled with hands not going left and in enough.

With your swing, it's either too inside out, or you may be adding some roll, or the club head might still be beating your body to the ball.

I've worked on this in two separate sessions of about 150 balls each. To me the swing key that produced the biggest change was swinging to the position where arms are as far past the head as possible with straight arms. Similar to the very old maintaining the triangle, but better because of the additional description. The more difficult one for me is the wrist folding backward and the rotation to get the face on plane. I have been a holder-offer (creative word) for years and the older I get the more I tend to do the cop-out follow through.

At some point I threw in sort of attempted mimic of Tiger or Snedecker's straight right arm lower plane finish. When I pulled off all of the above and felt like I stayed in my tilt longer the results were beautiful shots with a slight draw. Were they longer? Maybe slightly. These were 7, 8, 9 irons which I can hit long in a variety of ways. I am hoping I can use these changes to help my wayward Driver.

Sore this morning.

This extension drill would be great for a chicken winger. The more extension thru the ball the less chance of chicken winging the left elbow.

Besides the obvious path/clubface stuff, the left wrist needs to bend back more with less roll.

What is the shaft with that PING i20 head? Looks like Manzella has changed from Cleveland to PING.

A student of mine's driver.

This is going to have to get tried out on the range. For me it feels like I am really going to have to get my arms to pass my body MUCH more than I do now. Guess I must still have a lot of drag in my game eh?
