I am down at Old Memorial in Tampa, Florida, doing a three-day private school through Saturday,

On Saturday, me and my star pupil are going to Hot Stix in Orlando to get her fit.

I'm willing to go out on a limb that you probably won't be too impressed by Hot Stix. Well, the techonology might be there, but i think it's too much science and not enough art.

In case anyone is wondering, my opinons are based on other people who have gone to get fit by them.

From my experience and people that i know who have gone, Hot Stix relies too much on the science of fitting rather than the art of it.

To be a great fitter you need to have both. Just like if i hande you a manual of the Manzella Matrix, it wouldn't make you a great teacher. Might make "ok" but unless you really know the stuff behind it, it will still be sub-optimal.

There's a reason why you need BOTH machines and a place to WATCH ballflight to be fit optimally.

Totally agree, Jim. Need to see ball flight. BTW Brian, I sooooo badly want you one day to refer to me as your "star pupil". One day....maybe this year.

Well,

Another great time in Tampa. Great golf course. Old Memorial is the best run club I have ever been to (This is maybe my 15th visit).

I baby-sat Lindsay through her Hot Stix fit and it went very well. Nice people.

I'll post her specs for her new set soon.
