Brian Manzella's Pivot Center Proposal

Brian, do you think that your "between the shoulder joint" pivot centre spot ( like your purple spot on Tiger) gives us the location from front view and that the Turned shoulder plane gives us the location from the "down the line " view??

Can you say that where they intersect is the true stationary point around which you pivot?

while on the same subject, is that pivot center point located between the front shoulder blades as in just above the sternum, or would it be located just below the neck between the back shoulder shoulder blades?

This is my idea of where I think the center of the pivot is.

I am NOT saying this SPOT is not near—or exactly AT—the place where others smarter than I have "supposed."

I am just saying this is MY best guess using ALL of the evidence.

It is a 3-D location...remember this as you look at the pics...

Thanks Brian, now that you know where it is ... can you feel it in your own swing... i seem to remember another post where you tried to swing around that spot and it seemed really easy for you? Still the case?

Yup.

You know it's funny...

I do this job for 25 straight years. Night and Day. The Man Upstairs blessed me with a great eye for movement, and a pretty sharp coconut. Just for fun—to see if I'm slipping—last week I took a very detailed IQ test and the entire Wonderlic test. I made 131 and 41, which isn't in Mandrin or Aaron Zicks league, but I does make me a "scratch," so to speak.

Even my biggest critics throw me the "extremely talented live teacher" bone as if it were a given.

But somehow, when I come up with something, they give me ZERO credit. They are all still trying to justify an INCORRECT notion of what the head can and can't do, and a pivot that, well, just bleauxs.

I have been drawing line on video and stills long before 99% of 'em, and this damn dot is the closest thing to correct that I have ever seen.

Why don't we just have the Mandrin's, Grober's and Zicks all get together, make sure it is righjt or adjust it, and lets all teach it to everyone tomorrow.

Nah, that would make me right.

Brian, you need not worry about lip service from competition - you teach loads of stuff that is innovative, you bleed passion and knowledge in your videos and your youtube performances must have made an impact. Anybody tries to publish on your dots then you several thousand witnesses here to attest that you have been typically passsionate about your dots for long time... they would be jumping on your bandwagon not the other way around!

What I MEAN is that it is AMAZING to me, how "some people" have SOOOOO much invested in "some other people being" RIGHT.

I have NOTHING invested.

Yet another reason "they'll never catch me."
