Brian: You have described the Manzella set up in the full swing in one of your instruction articles. I know you are going to go into putting shortly. Can you go into the Manzella preferred putting posture and your thoughts on putter fitting? I am interested in the thoughts of others on the subject particularly those of VJ Trolio. So far I have established that it is a good idea to have the ball below the eye line and have the putter shaft line up with the forearms so that they are on the same plane. Thanks

Brian, if you respond question from me too:

Why is it that when i have my eyes "over the ball" i feel like i can't balance myself in my posture. Feels like i'm going to fall over my front feet.

BTW for me to be eyes over the ball my putter measures 33" and it seems like i'm standing VERY CLOSE to it.

If I am correct putting fitting is all about helping you to aim better as well as improving the posture. The length of the putter would have affect on not just posture, as well as affecting the lie angle of the club too (affecting your aiming).
I stop having the sensation of having my eyes over the ball, as what we feel might not be what we are doing. If we are feeling our eyes is above the ball, very likely you are moving your head far too forward, and lose balance. Also, I have study the posture and setup from some good players, most of them are having their eyes behind the ball.
Again, putting is very much an individual perference. As long as we can maintaining a good impact, and have the feel of the distance, we will be laughing.
Jim, is your hands bend or hanging down at address.
