Has anyone ever sent a Ping iron back to Ping for shaft replacement? Was it a good or bad experience? Ping does not make available the original shaft to retailers.

Thanks for any comments.

Thanks for any comments.

The inserts on the Ping i3 heads are glued in and can come loose and be lost. This happened with a few of mine. Through my retailer, I asked Ping if I could buy some replacements. They refused and told me I had to send my clubs 3000 kilometers across Australia so they could replace them.
Some shafts also broke during the normal course of play and they would not replace them.
I am far from satisfied and even if they are one of the best, I will never purchase Ping again.

I don't have pings but...

a playing partner has I3s. He recently had a clubhead come loose and go flying down the fairway. He sent it to ping and they fixed him up free of charge. Took about two weeks. This happened in the U.S.

Sent Back to Ping

Thanks all for your responses. Sent it back to Ping today...should take 2 weeks...there was a nominal charge since it is an older ISI club.

:)

They are first class in every way.

And they are VERY protective.

Why should they send out inserts when they will wind up in KNOCK OFFS?

Anyhoo, their repairs are very good.

We just "inked" a deal with TaylorMade to be the Brian Manzella Academy's official golf club and my equipment sponsor.

We will have their full-line of equipment on sale on the site in the next few weeks.

By Christmas time, we will offer Ping equipment, Yes Putters and a few selected other items like Rover Golf's super training aids.

Ping Iron Repaired

Thanks for everyone's help...I did send it back to Ping last Monday and got it back today reshafted with the original shaft type...that's fast....they even repainted the number, scoreline, and Ping name on the clubhead...only strange thing is they regripped it with a larger size than what was on the club...but maybe that was the size on the original club....no biggie easy to fix...very impressed with the job and turnaround time.
