Has anyone got any Byron Nelson swing sequences or videos to share?

Here's a sequence Brian used for an anaylsis:
The audio can be found here: http://homepage.mac.com/brianmanzella/.Music/nelson.mp3

Important note: Byron is using a wood in the target-view sequence (bottom row), but an iron in the front-vew sequence (top row).

That right elbow has some serious bend in it in frames 6, 7, and 8, very interesting. I think this has can flippers, A LOT!

It looks like his grip is quite strong but he still gets into a flat left wrist at the top, I have a very strong grip I can see near enough 4 knuckles on my left hand and I struggle to get a flat left wrist, how can you get into a flat left wrist position with a strong grip?

I say that grip is pretty neutral (10-2-B). Remember, he is using Classic Address (10-9-A) with its Bent Left Wrist to promote the Swinger's Lagging Clubhead Takeaway, which shows more knuckles of his left hand. Also, the camera angle is not exactly front-on. This not only makes Byron's grip look stronger, but his ball position also looks further back in his stance (or Left Shoulder) than it actually is. Another clue is frame 4 in the target-view sequence -- you can see how the leading edge closely matches his Flat Left Wrist.

ok thanks for the explanation but is there a way of getting a flat left wrist with a strong grip?
Yes of course...you just do it...!
Lee Trevino is a good example.
Just make sure you're not hooking the ball.

What do you mean, JUST DO IT? Just basically feel a flat left wrist I should have one?? When I feel a flat left wrist i feel i rotate the club in the backswing! is this ok?

Just do it means you look at the mirror or video, and if it's bent, then make it flat and remember this new feel so you can reproduce it ("let mechanics produce and feel reproduce"). And if it's flat, then just leave it alone.
Like Homer said..."Look, LOOK, LOOK!"

Ok I will do that! Seeing as I spend at least 1 hour a day in front of a mirror with a golf club anyway :)! Sorry for taking this thread off topic!

Yep . . . or you can just swing to the top and look look look making sure your wrist and forearm are in line. Or watch your hands when you chip.

Look Look Look but it don't always have to be with a video camera or a mirror.

Say your forarm and wrist are in line but your club is pointing left like this

Does this still mean you are on plane or are you laid off? Because everything is square.

My wrist is cupped at the top because of a strong grip but as long as its flat at impact it doesent matter does it?

the club near the top of the backswing should only be parallel to the target line when it is parallel to the ground. If we knew exactly how far he took it back in that picture we could tell whether it is laid off or not.

Ah, I get you now! Because I dont reach parrelel but just had a look what happens when i do reach parrelel and I look perfect at the top when I try and get into that position tiger is in.

Now i just need to ingrain a flat left wrist in my backswing without having to think about it! Get hard at work starting tommorow I think! Unless could you answer this question: If my wrist is cupped at the top it doesent matter as long as it is flat at impact right??? So what if i just train getting my wrist flat at impact, but i think its already flat at impact because my ball stirking is awesome, so basically im woking on a flat left wrist in the backswing just for looks?
