Can you explain "release" to me?

Got a challenge for you guys. Although I am sure that I do it, I am not exactly sure when or how. Can someone describe the release to me? When do you do it, and when you get to that point what exactly do you do?

At the top of a 'conventional' swing, the left wrist is COCKED, the left hand is turned open 90 degrees, the left arm has swung 45 degrees across the chest and the right arm is bent.

On the downswing the body unwinds like a frisbee throw, pulling all four of these 'accumulated' power sources toward the ball. When the clubhead gets on the aft-side of the hands on this downswing, the weight of the club starts uncocking that left wrist, the sweetspot of the club---off plane of the shaft---trying to 'line up' with the left arm----starts to UNROLL the left hand, the left arm starts swinging more and more off the chest and the right arm begins to straighten due to the outward 'pull' created by the inward rotaion of the 'frisbee-style' pivot.

The motion of the pivot around the spine---of which the lower part has shifted forward to align the force of this pivot with the ball---prevents the clubhead from prematurely 'falling' to the ground behind the ball.

When the ball gets stuck the left wrist STILL hasn't completely uncocked, nor has the left hand completely unTURNED, nor has the left arm been completely blasted off the chest, nor has the right arm completely striaghtend.

All of this happens past the ball when both arms are straight....

...This is when the 'club' is fully released...

PS...it isn't the club at all, but these four power accumulators!
 
I am confused on the feeling of the power source. I am working on the pitching position, with chip, pitch and full stroke, and is able to maintain the bent right arm longer. The problem now is I am totally confusion, since I don't feel the #4 pp providing the power, the cent. force. I do feel power coming from the right arm from release to finish. However, I don't think I am a hitter since from the top I have the right shoulder down, axis tilt etc without using the right forearm power, and my left arm also turned in the backswing.

Please comment.

Do yourself a favor, and first master hitting with the bent right wrist. There's a lot more things going on in a CF swing and it's many times more difficult than hitting.
 
MizunoJoe, the problem is difficult to fiqure out if this is the hitting procedure. It is difficult because I am just learning from the book, videos and forums. So, is adding power a hitting procedure? but I have a turned left hands which is not hitting! Thanks.

Sounds like you are trying to add #1 to a 2/3/4 swinging procedure. That's the infamous 4-barrel swinging procedure. I'm not the guy to ask about that, because I don't think it's feasible. Brian, however, has posted that he teaches it.
 
I try to rephase more clearly:

On the backswing, I have:
- a turned left arm, flat left wrist and a bent right wirst
- hip preturned
Therefore I thought I should be a swinger.

On the downswing, I did:
- both arms feel pulling, right shoulder down
- right arm in a pitch position (therefore I though I am a swinger)
- since right arm in a pitch position, both arm straight extend further after impact

I am learning the pitching position and max. delay. The problem now is more confusion since from the release position to both arm straight, I do not feel 1) any pulling, 2) power come from rotation, and 3) no effort from the right arm. These are the power for swinger.

What I feel more is the extension of the right arm creating a lot of power. From the top I am sensing my hands to lead the swing.

Am I doing the right thing? Is that I am still too early to develop the feel? Whether I am a swinger or hitter. Please excuse me for all the questions, I am still learning.

This actually surprise me on what I am attempting to do as I am still a mid-high hadicapper with only 3.5 years of experience, I don't think I can do 4 barrel, not even 3! I start learning TGM in Sept. last year and have been praticing 5 days a week for 1-2 hours. What happen is each time I learn a different thing, I can perfrom very well. For example, one month ago I was just (isolating on learning) performing hip slide, turn, shoulder rotation and no arms power, just let it happens. I can hit every clubs in the driving range, straight and far including the driver. Then when I went to play on a golf course, ossh! cannot move the hip slide first, somehow my arms were moving! I guess this inconsistency is due to not yet able to put everything together, still learning, and as you learn new things come in and the swing change.

If you decide to stick with either the 3 barrel or 4 barrel swinging procedure, you should plan to go see an AI such as Ben Doyle in Carmel, CA or Brian in Louisville/New Orleans. This will save you months or even years of frustration. And no, I'm not a shill for AIs in general or Ben/Brian in particular, but I know what you're going through.
 
I heard many nice comments on Gregg Mchatton (he is the closer to where I am and is a Doctor) is he really good in teaching TGM. I went through his website however is not always updated.

Gregg, like Brian is a GSED, worked directly with Homer Kelley and Ben Doyle (and was with Yoda in one of Homer's first classes). He has lectured at the inaugural PGA Teaching and Coaching Summit on "The Application of Physics/Geometry of the Golf Swing" (video available thru your local PGA Professional).
Gregg also has a video out thru OHP Direct. Beside his current website, he will also be on webgolflesson.com in May or June. He teaches swinging (pitch basic stroke).
