ok we all know the "better players problem" is super fast hips and the club gets stuck leading to blocks, etc.... my question is for the other guy (me) who struggles with getting that left rear pocket to show up on video at impact - how can I clear my hips faster?? What are some feels...drills? I already set up with my left foot flared slightly open. Thanks.

I used to have that same problem until I learned to pivot correctly through watching Brians' videos. This is the feeling that works for me.....

As you approach the top of your backswing, transfer to your left leg, then drive your right hip and hands through the ball simultaneously. Try to feel like your hands dont pass your right hip until after the ball is gone.

Because you over rotate them going back while slightly hanging on your left side, you kinda "pop" out of the ground trying to get the club back out in front of you. that leaves you unable to leverage the ground when you need it most. So i would get off the left foot on the way back and fall on the left foot in the transition so you'll have some pivot to use to go left.

ok, thanks..i'll work on not over-rotating my hips on the backswing pivot
i'll also re-read brian's pivot description and continue to work on a better transition (weight transfer)

JRJ,
Practice the feeling of your right elbow not passing your right butt cheek until way after impact...
It is an over-do, but will give you a good feeling of lagging hands...
