Can't understand drive/drag loading

Simply,

Drive loading is an axe-handle procedure...try to bend the shaft by resisting the backstroke motion...radial acceleration...right thumbpad pressure dominant...

Drag loading is a rope-handle procedure...try to stretch the shaft...longitudinal acceleration by way of the last three fingers of the left hand (PP #2)....

Would a drive loader/hitter tend to flex the shaft more and need stiffer shafts than a dragloader/swinger? Thanks.

So what does determine proper shaft flex? Will a drive loader tend to flex the shaft more than a drag loader? Thanks.

I believe that the shaft is initially flexed by the drive loader during transition. The flex is then maintained during the downswing and intensified by the ball during impact. As soon as the ball leaves the clubface, the clubhead is relieved from impact deceleration and kicks forward and further accelerates toward finish.

In contrast, it is flexed during release by the drag loader. The clubhead then kicks forward prior to impact and is decelerated by the ball during impact and beyond.

Yup.

I just want to make sure I am reading this right. The question was asked whether you can drive load and drag load at the same time.

Brian, are you saying you can do both?

According to Homer, they are mutually exclusive, so I want to make sure no one is getting the wrong impression.
