For those who attended the Woodmont/Canton "Three G.O.L.F. Guys" Golf School...

It is my understanding that the video that was taken at the school will be released to the participants only.

Here is Lynn Blake's statement to that affect:

"Upon completion, the (Video) series will be made available to all attendees at a price reflecting the costs of production, mailing and a slim margin. This was the promise made (and recorded) on the morning of the school itself. In addition to the purchase price, any sale also will be contingent upon a signed confidentiality agreement that acknowledges its copyright protection and prohibits duplication or other dissemination, including any discussion or personal review of its contents with anyone other than a fellow participant.

As has been the case in all prior schools, this video reflects the personal experience of those involved and will not be produced commercially."

As far as I am concerned this closes this issue.

Policing "no disscussion rule" would be next to impossible, and in my opinion should be removed from the release.

Why is it there in the first place? Isn't it mainly because he's concerned that bashing may occur on these two forums?

OFFICIAL MANZELLA RESPONSE:

I hope the WORLD sees me teach and says whatever they want about it, ANYWHERE THEY WANT.

I would love to give lesson LIVE on National TV.

Forums are supposed to be where I find out a Video of mine is good, or isn't. If a school was good, or wasn't.

I don't mind reviews, because I WANT TO BE THE BEST, and to be the best, you HAVE TO keep improving every day.

I really feel like I have improved and refined what I teach and HOW I TEACH IT, every day for the last 24 years.

Honest reviews, speed up that process for me.

Brian,

How about showing us a lesson of you curing a flipper - post it in the video section free of charge. I've yet to see an AI do this, including Ben with the student who can't pass the tire test. At least we got to see him try.

If i recall correctly, this has been in place for all cd/dvd's made for participants of Lynn's seminars. Basically he asks attendees not to make copies and share with those who were not at that particular seminar.

I could do that however what kind of student? Obviously it would be easier with a better player.

I think he is talking about the discussion part. Isn't that the 1st amendment?

Ask Microsoft or IBM about that ;)

Trade Secrets

It depends on when the "agreement" was made. If all parties agreed to this from the onset then they can probably do whatever they want; however, they can't go back now and tell people who were promised a video that they can't talk about what happened during the lesson. I'm guessing there was no contract signed at the beginning.

Let's face it guys, it is all pretty silly.

Just like the Homer audio, which a few wanted all to themselves. Now I have it, as do others.

This is a digital world and this Canton dvd will make the rounds as sure a "gawd made little green apples."

Yes, and I heard if you talk about any of it you are thrown out of the circle of trust forever.....oh wait, wrong TGM rebellion leader, sorry.

It's curious that the LBG forum has made available video of at least one private lesson. It was a 6 lesson sequence of a scratch college player. The 1st lesson started off showing the student hitting 230 yd 3 iron lasers! The instruction was mainly asking him what he was thinking when he hit that last perfect shot and telling him to do it again. Why didn't the non-disclosure rule apply in this case?

Joe, if memory serves me (and it doesn't always), Lynn had posted that the student gave his permission to use the tape, and the portion released was taken at the end of the student's visit to the Swamp, and was essentially a summary demonstration of the instruction already given. That was my take. You could always PM Lynn.

Why all the secrecy? Can't talk about lessons. Everything is private messages. This will probably be taken as an attack, but it is just curiosity. Whenever I ask a question people get upset. I always thought you learn by asking questions, even tough ones.

But why do we get to see this student's lesson, but other students can't even discuss their lessons much less have them shown? Why all this secrecy? Sounds too much like the Skull & Bones club. :(

No Tom, I don't take it as an attack. But that's my point. If someone posts anything around here, it's taken as a personal attack. We don't get to hear the inflection/tone of the spoken word in a forum posting, and it is all to easy to take the post in the wrong way. This leads to all of these pissing matches. Thus, I suggested that Joe PM Lynn to avoid more forum dog piling. That's all.

Joe, I cannot and will not speak for Lynn. Why don't you email or PM him? He is an upright guy.

It's really just a rhetorical question, no big deal. It's clear that Mac wants to keep his "secrets" confined to a small inner circle, but I never got the impression that Lynn thought that way.

Yeah... considering all of his posts on the old TGM forum, Chuck's forum, GEA, Single Axis, here, his site, and wherever else he has posted, I would agree. I think this has all been a misunderstanding.
