Case of the $%anks

Ok, playing good golf today and all of a sudden on a 110 yd shot, i hit a hosel rocket. No big deal, fluke, then I do it again from 70 yds on a par 5. Ughhh..

Two holes later, I'm so friggin scared to hit it, I remember that according to Brian, these are caused by being too open and lagging the sweetspot. So I turn it over hard and end up going 20 yds left.

Wedges sand/gap/lob, are right now killing me. Iron play and drivers and great. When I try to play them a little more shut at the top, I end up hitting them left.

Any advice for hitting the short wedges straight?

Swinging too far to the right can also get you under the sweetspot. Instead of turning the face over more, maybe swinging more left would help, and keep you from hitting closed-face pulls.
