I have been considering the high speed camera that are all the rage at present.

As far as I can see the FH20 will do the job.

Is the F1 worth the extra money?

Does anyone have any experience with the pocket size versions - FS10 or FC100?

I am staying an ex tour player (visiting form Oz) and I would need to buy one soon if I am going to get one on this trip.

Looked at Casio website and called Casio even - didnt even get a call back :( Retail outlets dont seem to carry them and lack knowledge of the specifics particularly regarding the newer pocket ones.

Would really appreciate any input.

Also does anyone know of a site that has a section showing example of golf related videos shot with these cameras.

raw file

can somebody please send me a raw avi file (or a link to a raw file) recorded from the camera

Don't think you'll find the cameras in stores. I got my fh20 on amazon for under the Casio site retail price. If you have extra dough getthe f1 otherwise fh20 is a good alternative with a couple other features. The compcts looked nice but the videos that I saw "seemed" to lack the detail, and shutterspeed slow down. You may well be able to change the shutter on the compact but I "know" you can with the fh20. The only drawback to all of these cameras is the lack of FireWire connection which means I can't capture live video direct to my laptop on my cswing software that I could with my cheap dv camcorder that could change shutter to 1/4000. I can take the sd card out and move swings over it just takes a bit longer. The clips are much better and worth it, however.

Good luck.

a few more items:

i would assume you can stop the playback and go forward frame by frame?

can they be hooked up to a TV monitor like regular video recorders (via RCA pins I think they are called)?

can something that is recorded at say 300fps be palyed back at various speeds or is it regular speed or 1 single slow mo speed.

I have the F1 - answers to the three questions

1: Yes

2: Using the mini HDMI cable

3: The playback is based on the record speed
