Casio FC 100 High Speed Questions?

Brian and other Casio owners,

The Casio FC 100 High speed camera. Does this camera have a firewire capability?? Is it compatible with any line drawing programs, eg JC Video or
V1?? Is the best setting 240 fps as the 1000 fps setting produces a very small picture window.

Sorry for all the questions guys but just looking for some info

Thanks in advance,

The camera is not compatable with FireWire. I am not sure about the line drawing programs, I use a mac and draw lines thru keynote. I use the 240 fps because the others are just to much detail. Great camera. I couldn't be happier.

I have the Ex-fx1 model it is a terrific camera. I use 300 Fps. I have a 16gb SDHC card. I pop the card out of the Camera into the PC to copy the files. Easy, simple and fast. The MOV (quicktime) files open in V1. They are a little grainy at full size but work fine for drawing lines. I bought a dual 500w (total 1000w) halogen work stand light for $29.95 at Lowes. This allows you to record indoors with reasonable results. Example here:

Is the 240 fps setting picture window quite big. I mean, can you see the whole golfer in the picture including the club?
Shot on say low shutter (30-40 fps) how long can you shoot video?

Thanks for your help guys. It looks like a great piece of kit.

The 240 fps picture is plenty big enough to get the club in the picture. Not sure how much it will record as it depends on the size of memory card you purchase.

My 300fps videos average roughly 3,000 to 4,000 KB each. 1 GB = 1,048,576 kilobytes.

Why does the left arm soften up prior to impact? I see this move in Sergio and Jamie Sadlowski. Is it to allow the club to square up, after releasing the angle so late?

I don't see where the left arm is softening? The only things I notice is the strong grip and fanning the club open right at the start of takeaway but he has a great looking downswing. Also, I think he needs to add a few pounds to keep his shorts up!

EX-F1 Camera questions:

Whats the largest SDHC card you can use and how long of a video can you take in SD and HD mode? I called casio and they said it could only take up to an 8gig SDHC but Mb606 says he is using a 16 gig card, so is the casio customer service rep incorrect? If I buy one of these cameras I would like to be able to use a 32 gig SDHC card and use it like a camcorder as well, is that possible?

I have the EX-FH20. There is a 4 gig limit to any single recording (maybe 10 - 12 minutes at HS (210 fps). I believe the same limits hold for the the FH1. With a 16 gig card you could shoot 4 separate 4 gig movies but it would not be continous.
