The wife gave me the new FH25 for my birthday. I am very excited and now have to learn all the new stuff!
so far the backlit CMOS sensor seem to work very well in overcast conditions.
I am a very happy camper.:D

Congrats on your new toy! I have the FH20 and an getting ready to use it soon. Any input on settings that others may have figured out would be greatly appreciated. I just can't seem to get the right combinations to get the picture to be a sharp as possible with the 420fps speed.

Try 210 gps with 1/2000 shutter. Slow enough with a sharp image of club in downswing. Also doesn't take as much light although does need daylight.

Sounds like the new camera might eliminate this though.

Thanks for the info Bolt, will try this tomorrow!

How's this working out? I'm gonna buy a camera TODAY, just need to decide the model. If I don't do it today I won't get around to it.

Is the fh25 tons better than the fh20? Can get the 20 from a local shop for $320. Amazon has the 25 for $350.

it was just a matter of time. I would however like to see a HS camera with better image quality at 420 or higher. both cameras lose image clarity at that point.

hold on to what you have....you never know when these companies will totally phase out high speed video just because....

no rhyme or reason

Also remember that these cameras eat batteries and that the files are large.
They use 4 AA batteries. Based on internet info, I bought 8 of the Sanyo eneloop rechargeable batteries with charger. Amazon $30 or so.

The memory card that comes with the camera is small. I read that for video you really need a card with both high capacity and high speed. I ended up
getting a SanDisk Extreme III 16 Gig 30 MegaBytes per second for, I think, $65.00 on e-Bay.

Also handy to have a Card Reader for fast transfer to PC.

Well I bought the fh25 yesterday. I spent $329 total. I figure it will be well worth the investment as my wife and kids love golf as well.
