Casio recommendations

I am looking to buy a Casio camera and wanted to know if the FH20 is still recommended? I believe their is a newer model the FH25 but was looking at the FH20 instead because it would be cheaper. Also when I use one of these cameras can I download swings and to what program would I download them to? Can I take the downloaded swings and email them to students?

The camera choice has been discussed several times on this forum.

What program to use for viewing. I can only comment on my particular
experience. I have the C-Swing analysis program. It is happy with the
.avi video format generated by my FH-20. There is an interesting thing
about slow motion files. It can take forever to move through the file.
Even 210 fps presents this problem. What I have done is use the normal
video frame rate and then use C-Swing's various slow down speeds to
view the file.

Can you e-mail the file? These files can be really big. Many providers limit the
size of e-mail attachments. If you are shooting students swings, then you
can keep the individual files smaller. I am shooting mine solo. The camera
has no remote shutter provision, so I just let it run.

My FH-20 works fine and uses rechargeable AA batteries. Would I buy the
newer model? Probably yes, just because it's newer.

Remember, you will need at least an 8 gig high speed flash memory card and
a USB card reader.

I purchased my Casio EX-FH20 and I'm very happy with it. Only $240 with everything (memory card, batteries, etc). Very easy to use as well. I've actually never owned a digital camera before and usually I can figure this stuff out if I read the directions, but hate doing that. This one I didn't even need to read the directions and it's just very easy to use.

I agree with Richie on ease of use. However, tedious as it may be, it's important to
slug through the manual. I found that it took me several play around sessions at home
to commit the menu items to memory. The cameras menus are not very intuitive.

You need to learn how to delete files. You need to learn about Aperture Priority versus
Shutter Priority. Also the Shutter Delay setting is useful if you are shooting solo.

I have the FC100 and the FH25. the 25 is awsome at tour events or anywhere you can't get close but the FC100 (I think the current one isd the 150)fits in my golf bag or pocket and I wear that little mutha out!
Also the free version of V1 works awsome with it or if you have issues like me it works great with the purchased V1 too.

I would pay a bit more and get the FH25.It works better in low light and the deal maker is the 120fps mode. The resolution is also acceptable at 480p.The FH20 doesn't have this mode.It starts at 240fps at a much lower resolution.120fps is enough to analyse a golf swing.

I hope the next generation will have a 120fps 720p mode.
