I think I may have the yips on short chips. I am working on practicing from Brian's "Confessions of a Flipper". One of the suggested practice drills is chipping by setting the wrists then pivoting. My right hand just stabs at the ball no matter how hard I work on keeping my hands quiet. It's very frustrating.
Interestingly enough, I do not have this problem with pitches and longer chips. It isn't an issue on full swings either.
Has anyone else experienced this? If so, did you overcome this? How did you do it?
