Cleveland HiBore XLS

Since I'm giving up a good bit of yardage playing the driver that I am, I decided to hit one of these while the Cleveland van was at the range.

Has anyone here demoed one of these? What did you think? How does it compare to other drivers (particulartly distance)?

Thanks

The hibores have been notoriously known as lower ball speed producing drivers when compared to others. Why? Beats me, i just go by the numbers i'm not club designer.

Also i know the DVS was designed to spin slightly more than the previous XL version because a lot of people couldn't keep them in the air (average guy) cuz they spun too little.

What would you suggest, as far as drivers for increased distance? I'm hoping to take advantage of the reduced spin and increased ball speed of these newer drivers (mine is 8 or 9 years old).

I would go to a fitter. A lot of good brands out there, one is Wishon.

I agree. And that will definitely be part of the plan (I can't get anything off the rack; golf clubs are no different). I was just wondering which heads tend to be the longest/hottest, to kind of narrow down the field of clubs that I'll be testing.
