Club Care

Just wondering what you guys do in terms of maintaining your clubs. I pretty much just clean my irons with a soft brush and water. I wax the top and bottom of my woods periodically (of course not the face). And no storing in the trunk. That's pretty much it.

Anything else to do to extend life and maintain appearance?
Anything for the grips?

Festus,

Scrub the grips with an abrasive cleanser (comet or the like) and a small brush. This really revives the grips making them tackier than when they were new.

You can jazz up your grips once in a while with a bit of fine sandpaper.

Also, some irons with a deep under-cut cavity will rust inside the cavity. A spray with WD40 or similar should help that.

For grips try Wesley's Bleche White cleaner form your local Auto Parts store.
It's a rubber cleaner for tires and works great. I've never used Comet on grips,
but my experience says it's hard to rinse out of the sink, so hard to rinse off of
grips.
