Club Fitting

Has anybody gone for a club fitting session at Golftec?

I'm in the market for some new clubs to replace my current mixed bag and knowing that getting fitted for clubs is almost a no-brainer, I was wondering if it would be worth my while to try the Golftec experience first.

I live real close to one of their facilities and I figure $100 is a good deal considering that it costs that much or more to be fitted for a driver alone at a more 'high-end' outfit.

Did I mention that I remain a hacker and that money is an object?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions that my question may generate.

I think it's better to find a place where you can demo everything on your own time for free, find something you like, then see if they can't just get some numbers generated for that club. Then maybe go for a real fitting. I'm a hack and money is an object in my scenario as well.

"Fitting" has come to be a general term... too general lMO. There are levels of fittings as well as levels of fitters. I would really look into that specific location before allowing them to separate you from your hard earned money. Is it indoors? Is it with a simulator or a bonafide (TM/FS) launch monitor? Is it just you hitting demo clubs, or a true break down of your current equipment and any potential new equipment? Does the fitter have a reputation and experience? Does the cost of the fitting come off the clubs if you choose to buy from them? Do the clubs come with a guarantee that they will match exactly what you were fitted for (oh, you would be surprised)?

You get the idea.
