I ordered a FT-Tour from a local retailer on Jan 29th and I still have no word on it at all. My current course of action is to just cancel the order and get my $$ back.

Any of you who might work retail have any advice for me on how to handle it.
I know since it is a lefty model it is not the fault of the retailer but I am tired of waiting. My plan is to wait till I can get my hands on one easier.

I know this is not the type of forum for posting stuff like this but since we have a lot of people here "in the biz" I wanted your opinion about how to properly handle this.

if it's a local retailer, they should be able to track and give you a legitimate reason for the delay. Callaway usually has a very good customer service reputation. perhaps the heads are not in stock, but someone should be able to tell you the status. good luck

I actually took the time to call Callaway and they said the clubs were on back order for 1-2 weeks. Even though their own web site says the lefty ones are 3-5 days backorder and the righty ones are 3-4 weeks. They balked when I asked if they could give me a timeline on my order in terms of where it was in line. Guess they do not want to sell me one. Looks like I have an extra $400 in my Manzella lesson jar.:D

The hell with them. Unless you REALLY want that club.

Basically I buy something new every year just for fun. To start the season. If it performs better than what I currently have I give the old one to my brother. If not he gets the new one. So I really do not need it.

I just ordered an FT Tour for a customer with a stiff flex and it came in 9 days. The X Flexes are back ordered until April 15th I believe.

The crazy thing is with Callaway, they want to jump on the band wagon of custom fitting and then they cant supply. I have a customer also waiting in the same situation and I cant get a straight answer from them.
