Clubhead path

Is it safe to assume that if the ball starts at the target then begins slicing right is a clubface issue and not the path?

Not an instructor, but I have to believe this is a pull with an open face. If the ball starts at the target with an open face, then I think you must be swinging outside in. As I understand it, the face angle relative to the path has more to do with the initial flight than path, ie...open face ball starts right of the path, closed face the ball starts left of the path, after that, the slice or hook kicks in.

If that's true, then it's both path and face angle. I believe Brian might tell you to fix the face angle first, then the path for slices, opposite for hooks.

So the right to right slice would be in to in path with an open face?

That is my understanding. Depending on HOW open it could be slightly right to right, or if way open it could be pretty fat right to right.
