Compression.

I used NSA to fix the clubface and now I'm striking the ball well with a little twistaway and putting the club on the movie screen. However, I was wondering how I would go about compressing the ball better using the NSA pattern? I make a good divot and everything, just not a lot of sizzle.

I had the same problem with NSA. Since switching to more of a "soft draw" movement (from the hints Brian has given), I am getting more of a "heavy hit." I have no idea why though.

When you say "sizzle," do you mean ball speed, or "heavy hit"?

I'll have to look up "heavy hit" but I'm basically just saying the ball doesn't come off with that hiss sound you hear when a very good player strikes the ball. So I think I mean ball speed.

Found this in a thread Jim posted a long time ago, describing someone he'd played with, this is what I'm after. "You could easily hear the zip and watch it bullet off the ground for about 5 feet and then rise."

Nevermind, I would like to know this too. I tried going back to the twistaway today and hit the ball better. Most shots were a solid, low draw, but the ball went NOWHERE. I'm still hitting the ball about 20-30 yards shorter than I did last year with my "old swing."
