Crush the Can

Does anyone feel they crush the can with the lead foot on the downswing?

I've been really working hard on this the last few weeks, feeling like my transition is my left heel hard into the ground whilst feeling like my clubhead stays pointed at the target or "left behind" -- all around a still head/central point

Does amyome who does this actively make sure the left heel lifts a little on the BS so you can replant it (like Pennicks magic move?) .. or can you do it wihtout that?

When its been on its been great but I can still feel myself sliding sometimes and either blocking it or flipping it to save -- any good drills to help hone this in?

Thomas,
I prefer to attack this problem from behind....:D

My own preference is to make the weight go onto my left foot/heel, without actually thinking about it, but make it the result of something else..
I found when I focussed on the left heel, all sorts of thing were happening, as if I were overdoing it....

I found the best alrernative is ( as per another thread last week) to focus on trying to raise the right heel while your weight is still on it at the top......the heel doesn't actually come up for quite some time, but the intent ensures just enough weight shift and lower body action..
The other side to this is that I am a "right side thinker", i.e. I like to focus on the right side on the downswing, and the above thought blends in well (and quickly enough)....

Interesting Puttmad. Do you try to feel your right heel lift or roll toward the target to get things started on the downswing. I have never tried this, but I too am a right side thinker.

I don't actually feel anything, its the though, or intent of the action that counts, which generates the weight shift...By the time i have thought about it I am on to a different thought, in my case i tend to be too underplane, so my second thought is to bring my right shoulder more around, rather than down and under....:)

So it's just a trigger to get you moving to the left side form the ground up by thinking of a right side action? Am I right?
