D Plane Camera Set-up

Without access to Trackman, I was trying to monitor my (or my students progress) with swinging an appopriate amount to the left through impact. My current down-the-line camera angle is in line with my hands (with plane lines drawn) and would only really show a vertical swing plane that is directly toward the target.

Has anyone experimented with moving the down-the-line camera more toward the ball and angle it to the left of the target to track the vertical swing plane? I'm only talking 5 or 6 degrees. I am assuming that if I extend a line back toward the camera on the same line as my ideal divots that it would show the club exiting left OR it would show the club swinging toward the target and get above the plane line on the follow-through. My current camera angle may show the club swinging left but it would be difficult to determine how much.

Just a thought.

Casio overhead (parallel to target line) or above the ball on target line might give you some reasonable feedback. (One of my winter experiments as well.)
