David Leadbetter and Tiger

A recent British Magazine features a lengthy article about David Leadbetter and his teaching success, with so many different students. When asked about Tiger's "new swing", he essentially said that he seems to be working on quieting down his lower body and allowing his hands to catch up. He also noted that his swing seem more "rounded" and that if he worked with Tiger he would pursue the same issues, but perhaps through a different method/ approach. Question, -is this essentially a hands controlled pivot vs pivot controlled hands debate. There was also some mention that Tiger's interlocking grip cause him to close the clubface more on the backswing thus causing more mechanical rotation than might be otherwise necessary.

Would a grip change make that much difference? Curious that someone at such a high level would have so much conjecture and so much opinion about the basics of his swing( Tiger's) and still not be on point, other than guessing. Interesting stuff to me and just wondering if there is something to learn from all this.???

The Interlocking thing....I can't see it as being an issue myself....I dunno.

...

I don't think it has anything to do with Pivot Controlled Hands or w/e.

Tiger is working on Rhythm I guess....prolly rightly so.
