Played 2 rounds (in September) last year so feel like I have a clean slate to start anew this year. Would love some help developing a swing plan that incorporates all the new ideas. I have the release video, but looking more for ways to incorporate the release from the beginning with drills and other advice. Thanks.

That is a tough one really. If you had a common miss before then maybe working away from that pattern might be a good move. Problem is none of us has any idea what kind of athlete you are or body type of anything.

Need more info.

Have you purchased the newest model clubs which incorporate the most advanced technology to make you a better golfer... (promised but not guaranteed)?

If not, git yo' azz to your nearest big box golf store equipped with all the latest "testing" technology that will fit the clubs to your delight.

I hear from cwd law that the new Titleist 910 D3 driver (which he bags) is a terrific piece of equipment that is extensively used by tour players. It's a deep-faced driver and you will get a lot of compensatory "gear effect" no matter how far you hit off the sweet spot in all facial directions...

I'm thinking of getting a Titleist D3, but am undecided what kind of "exotic" shaft I should use. Seems they only build them in "stiff"... while I may need a "senior" A-shaft... or maybe even a "ladies" L-shaft which will put me in the Bobby Jones "hickory" league ...;)

My reaction is sort of incredulity. I can't get my head around playing 2 times last year, and then deciding to change your swing. If I only played twice last year, my goal would be to go out 5 or 6 times and hope to hit the ball with my old swing. Then after a little break in period I would think you could start working on something new.

Furthermore, you might consider that written advice you receive here is really just a stab in the dark sans video of your swing. The reason you are getting blowback is due to the question. Essentially, how in the world would anyone answer it?

Bcoak, that's not a bad idea. Find a Trackman and get moe data. May provide you with a good starting point. Or try to gather up some ideas from the latest info and try to do them to the letter.

What I've done in the past is take one thing t a time and make it my project. Why the swipey contact? What would be the one thing you can focus on the improve the strike?

Good idea. I think there is a Trackman near me.
