As with many of my swing discoveries, it is here today gone tomorrow. This newest ballstriking breakthrough was here yesterday and even better today. Upon further analyis of what is actually going on in my swing to "register in my feel cabinet", as Percy Boomer says is as follows:
1. I am aware of my left arm getting dragged down by my feet while pressed against my left pectoral. I have been mixing hitting components (unaware) and heretofore my right tricept has been thrusting my power package off the pivot too soon, which my guess is over-acceleration. I am trying to keep my left arm when it is swung across my chest and visible in my peripheral vison on my right side, even into the followthru ( just a feel).
2. I am feeling my right hip driving down into the ground. Because this is a powerful feel, I am trying to control my hip motion better to not miss this action. My normal sway has caused me to miss this.
3. A strange feel is that my right arm, not shoulder, is going DOWN as my club is still going back.
4. I feel like my body is trying to sneek to followthough without my hands and arms knowing about it, like trying to lose your parents at Six Flags.
5.If you were to pose with a club pressed into an impact bag at impact fix, and someone was to pick up the impact bag and take it to the top of your swing with the club still pressed against the bag, no more or less and your job is to swing this pressed feeling down thru impact, that would be my feel.
6. It is a gathering feel, a crescendo, a collection of my self, a stretching out of time and motion. Its a heavy trudging through molasses on valium.
Lucinda Williams sings with lag, so does LeonRussell (Lady Blue).A slide trombone lags. It not stretching and shooting the rubber band off the finger, its taking the rubber band stretched through impact. Don't tell me any of these are wrong, cause you don't know how Diggerdog feels. Diggerdog hasn't been this excited since as a little twelve year old dog, he reached down to satisfy a stratch but it wasn't a scratch. And just like little Diggerdog discovering this new scratch, Digger wants to do it every day.
Sustain the desire to scratch.
