Distances with the "never hook again" pattern

I am just curious, what others have seen with the never hook again pattern. I have only played one round focused on this pattern so in general, I was adding one club and really focusing on keeping the rhythm smooth. . .for others that use this shot pattern, what have you seen?

Just so you know, for me, this shot pattern produces an almost perfectly straight shot that just falls off to the right. I think I am in love.

It really depends on what you were doing below. If you were a big push draw player delivering a lot less loft, sometimes the NHA pattern can make you hit it shorter because you aren't delofting it as much.

And generally the opposite if you were "over fading" the ball (i wouldn't say slicer because you really wouldn't give a true slicer a NHA pattern) you will find some extra distance because you are probably delivering a bit less loft than you were below.

I had a chance to play today. I played a tough Gary Player designed course in the St. Louis area.

1. I absolutely LOVE the NHA pattern.
2. I was hitting the ball dead straight and occasionally cut it a bit much when I was actively looking to cut it.
3. Distance is definitely a bit shorter than my regular swing (which is really close to the soft draw).

All I can say is, Thank you Brian. Your NHA video is really making golf so much more fun. Even on some really tough driving holes, I had no problem lining up to left center and just hitting it. In the past, I would never have been able to do this because I would have needed to guard against the hook.

I am really excited about how the NHA pattern is going to change my game. BTW - It's not only hitting tee shots. Now, when I am hitting into a green, if the pin is on the left, I can hit the small draw pattern and if it's on the right, I can hit the NHA pattern. Talk about making it fun.
