Double cocking, lag, and distance

Brian,

Could you explain how to double cock ala Sergio and have that lag he has. I am seriously lacking in driver distance. Irons are not a problem - 8 iron goes 175 yards normal swing, driver only about 250 yards.

Please help!

Well it goes about the same height as my irons. When i strike the shot, it looks it goes forever. But when i get to my ball, i am like what??? i still have this amount left to the green? My swingspeed for the driver on avg is 117 mph. I suspect my tee height may have something to do with it. I tee the ball so that the top of the ball is barely higher than the driver crown.

ever been on a launch monitor?

Too weak of a shaft and its balloon city and with someone with your swing speed that honestly could mean at a MINIMUM 20-30 yards

My swing speed is around 110-112 normally and I easily carry it 250+ yards. Definitely look into equipment via a launch monitor.

Try teeing it higher for sure...you should be hitting the ball on the top of the clubface- above the C.G. for high launch/low spin drives.

Tee the ball up so that half of it is above the crown.
