Driver and Fairway wood woes....

I've spent so much time trying to get a consistent iron swing down that I've completely lost my driver and fairway woods.

This is killing my rounds. I have learned to hit all my irons (4-LW) pretty well.

driver - no slices. Hitting long, hard pulls...or balls too high with an occasional smother hook.

3 wood - slicing the hell outa this thing.

I could use some guidance on getting the driver back as I was smoking it before I laid of practicing with it. The 3 wood helps on the long par 5's.

Since no one responds...

found the driver woes to be mainly from standing too far away from the ball. That fixed a bunch!

Still having issues with 3 and 5 wood

If you are slicing it, you just have the face too open. Nothing special.

Try a little "twist away" and report back. Don't be afraid to use it for your driver swing either, i did for a loooooooong time.

Thanks Jim,

I am feeling the rw bend significantly towards the end of the bs. I am holding that through impact pretty good.

Another point I focused on was right should DOWN. I was roundhousing a bit.

At first, this felt too crowded but after a good smack or two, my confidence with the big stick came back strong.
