Driver, D plane and fade

Hi guys,

Just have a little confusion on how to adjust this. At my local there is a hole where I need to hit a fade with my driver so using the ideas of the D plane, I picked my spot to aim at and set up my feet, club face and swung to that aim point. I hit a great fade, well down the fairway :D Now here is my question, with the fade I hit the ball started in the right direction(to my aim point) but the left to right swing of the ball was a bit too much as I ended up in the far right side of the fairway. So what I want to know is how do I adjust the left to right swing of the ball? Is it just matter of closing my feet a little while swinging and aiming the club face at the original aim point? or is it a matter of keeping the same swing and setup with the addition of closing the club face at address a little?

Thanks

Christopher

1. Are you hitting UP or DOWN with your driver?
2. Where do you want the ball to start?
3. Where do you want the ball to finish.

Hi Brian,

I would think it would be a very marginal up swing with my driver as I tee the ball quite low(crown of driver is just 2-3mm above the ball equator) but have it set at about my left foot instep. It could be a level or slight down swing, I don't have access to a trackman so I can't tell :(

I was aiming for the ball to start straight and have a 10-15mtr fade. What I got for the setup above was a start straight with a 25-30mtr fade.
