I know this issue has been discussed here quite a few times earlier, but I'd really like to know your (Brian&co) final thought about wether the driver head should move up or down at impact....should I hit it down with my driver too??

Another question is about the role of the right arm in golf-swing. There's this golf-instructor at this finnish golf forum, who stresses the usage of right arm thrust in downswing. He says that right arm should start really hitting down at same time when ones hips start to open.

Thanks in advance...

PS. Brian and co....keep up the good work.....this forum and all the videos/articles have really been priceless for me and my golfing.

Depends on your definition of what hitting up/down is. Some people believe that just because the head is "ascending" into the ball then that is called "hitting up" which really isn't the case.

If you TRULY want to hit up on it, go ahead but the ball has to be in front of your low point. That means the club is going to start going up/in. So if you full roll this shot.....FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORE LEFT! So you had better Angle hinge it and you'll be fine.

Personally, i like to see a ball position that is BEHIND THE LOW POINT (of your swing) but with a clubhead that is ascending into the ball to create the extra loft to launch it higher. This is achieved with proper clubshaft fitting.

Hope that helps.
