Driver shots thin???

i am hitting some of my driver shots a little thin----ball impact is nearer the sole. centered, but low. shot pattern at least is straight and i find it in play. what is the cause for this? it happens prob. 3 drives per round.

Simplistic question..
Ball too far forward or too low on tee?
Weight too much on right side at impact?
Flipping slightly?...

Try hovering the club at the level of the ball at address.

hmmmm. ball may be a bit forward, as i tend to come in steep and figure that may level me off a bit. slight flip is possible. i do have it teed high though.
