DTL - letting it go

Here is a vid of my swing trying to let the release be more free. I have always tried to have my hands ahead and intentionally for years pulled hard with the left hand to keep the handle ahead.

Here I'm just letting the club release ASAP (feel to me atleast) and not caring what my left wrist does after impact.

I'm trying to get my FO view up. Sorry for the lame video quality, size, and angle.

Still fairly hung on at the finish

As in still not letting it go enough? It's a work in progress, literally have been a left hand grip hard and pull the butt end of club guy for years.

Here is a face on view

And those aren't vids of me dunking, LOL, but I have dunked before in my life :D

that finish reminds me of tiger like!

I love how my flight has come up. I have been hitting such a flat trajectory for so long, it's hurt me more than helped. I'd rather hit it high on a stock shot and flatten when I need it. The high shot is so much easier to stop on the greens where I play.

I use to hit it high, worked for so long to have more shaft lean etc. became a low ball hitter and now I'm going back to a higher shot again. I've come full circle, but at least I've learned all the shots a long the way.

i love my stinger shots :)

It looks like you are about 5 feet away from where you need to be....

I'm referring to the grass versus the mats. Mats will hide faults...

the rest of it looks good

It irks me to see that guy hitting off the grass when you are clearly suppose to be on the mats. You almost hope that he catches someone's toe shank right in his knee.

I disagree. If you watch closely, the guy on the grass tees the ball up and hits his driver. I think that's fine since he's not taking any divot whatsoever. If the driving range doesn't provide the golfer the ability to set the height of hit tee exactly where he wants it, then he should be allowed to hit wooden tees off the grass. As long as he's on the far left side of the herd of golfers on the range. Driving ranges let me do that all the time, no problem.

Is there anything you don't disagree with?

Willimatic, swing looks great.

Well hooray for you. If it says mats, that means mats. If you have a special deal with the owners, great. When he takes one off the head they'll be no shortage of attorneys putting blame on the range owner. That guy is not on the far end. I'm sure your one who walks out 5 yards and drags balls back if you want a few more, no problem.

And yes, willimatic, looks good. But your swing always looks good.

Dude! I can't believe Kevin just accused me of stealing! He's never even....like....met me! :)

Yes, it was range only. And the guy was hitting irons before he started hitting a driver. I just do what the club says, range or grass.

Thanks for the nice words about my swing. Feel like I'm getting better, plus I'm starting to be aware of the club for once and not just my pivot and pulling my left hand towards the ball.

Club awareness is fun!

There are several very good players at the club, but the majority are high handicaps. But at one point last year I believe we earned our way into the top clubs with lowest handicap players.
