Anyone catch Duval this weekend?

I didn't see him swing....

Did he go back to his old grip....the strong grip w/ Angled Hinge? ("back to the future" as Brian called it I believe).

He went back to his strong grip, swinging left, and holding off that clubface. Everything is moving left to right, just like the good ol' days. He's quite portly again, too!

Hmm...i guess it's time to round up allllll the posts i made on how he was only going bad because you took someone from a turned grip/angled hinger to a neutral grip who full rolled it and that if he went back, he'd probably be pretty good again if he found the motivation to be.

Guess it's starting to work

I love that swing! why is it that people get away from it? Trying for more distance?

I'm not 100% sure....but I think he got in a rut and took some advice he apparently shouldn't have.

As I read, I think Haney wanted him to get more "orthodox"....

As for distance, Duval was always very long I think.....I heard he he does hit it pretty low tho.

But still....the guy had been swinging like that for so long....and obviously very successful...

...I'm not a teacher, but I know that's a pretty big change.

I play with a guy who hits the ball soooo low it's unbelievable. He also won our club championship last year.

Birdie,

Saw him hit a few shots and he does look like he's swinging it more like when he shot the 59 at Doral. I think getting back to his old "body type" is helping him as well.
