How would you describe a swing that creates 'effortless power' ?

Why does the average high handicapper end up with powerless effort ?

Brian has said this phrase a few times: "make the club work like a club." What does that mean ?

Effortless power comes from 2 things:

1) Being on plane
2) Having a right shoulder on plane

Average high handicapper ends up with powerless effort because they don't do 1 or 2 of if they can do 1 most can't effectively do 2 and thus always have to put a lot of misplaced effort into their swing.

Can someone explain the concept of the right shoulder on plane in more detail? Is there an existing post?

Also, can you have 1 and 2 and flip it, but still have effortless power?

Yellow line is the turned shoulder plane, notice how the right shoulder goes right down the plane line? That's on plane. Most bad golfers have it ABOVE that line and among other things this will DECREASE TRIGGER DELAY and force you to release it early and "muscle it."

Ever try to push a car sideways? Well that's what it's like when you try to force the club back to the plane.

effortless power=timing/maximizing the kinetic chain
powerless effort, kinetic chain out of sequence so there is much less maximization of it. Can you be on plane and have no power, yes
can you maximize the kinetic chain and be off plane????
what ya think mandrin ;)
