effortless swing vs hit

I have seen manzella's hit vs swing video. in my swing i am just trying to swing the club in a circle but i feel like i am trying to put the club in a certain position on the downswing and trying to really hit the ball.
Is the real feeling the complete opposite? should it feel like everything starts away in one piece and the moment of the take away is what causes the hinging? as you start down there is no attempt to hit it and the unhinging happens on its own unleashing at the ball?

I feel like i am thinking so much to have the club come in a certain way to the ball.

Somewhere in the forum Brian had a genius overview of ideas of Torque(s) and stressing the clubshaft and different ways of doing so that might help you. It certainly helped me. I've come to realize that it is limiting to try to think of only "swinging" (whatever your definition of swinging is) or only "hitting" (usually talking about accelerating the club in a driving out way).

That's why that video is no longer available.

I should have added I only came to realize that, which has been Huge for my journey, because of B. Manz. The torque post/thread is a must read.
