According to Einstein, once we are finished building up the energy in the backswing, we won't be able to add to it.

Is this true?

Does Einstein post on here? I'm not sure I understand the statement. It might be a useful metaphor for people who are too quick through their transition - but I would strongly disagree with the idea that the downswing is nothing more than the release of potential energy accumulated in the backswing.

Nope. The process of creating energy is not finished at the backwing end. We can say that the process of preparing to the most efficient energy creation is finished there, but energy is being mainly produced during the downswing phase.

Did he say this?

The only golf quote I know that came from Eintein was "In golf as in life it is the follow through that makes the difference."

He did try golf but never took it up.Imagine if he wrote TGM instead of Kelly. Now that would be some read.

The potential energy of the club/hands due to gravity is stored at the top of the backswing. Doesn't mean we can't add force to increase acceleration in addition to the acceleration due to gravity.
