Does he swing over the top? Watching him this weekend he seems to have a little loop at the top of his swing. It works don't get me wrong. I was just wondering if I am seeing an over the top move or not.

I have noticed that also. His bad shot is the big pull. That one turns up when under pressure. He pulled a drive at the Masters a few years back and lost his ball when he had a chance to win the event. He pulled his tee shot on the last par 3 to in the final round and Todd Hamilton won that. The pull is consistant with the OTT move. I am interested to see what Brian thinks.

He uses the turning shoulder plane for roughly his entire swing. Some say he sets up on it, and some say he sets on a different hand plane.

Either way, he's pretty much a no-shift swinger.

Have you seen the "Never Hook Again" video?

Basically since you are going "up the wall, down the wall" when you have to go "down the wall" his hands are so high above his head he has to allow for his arms to DROP (literally) otherwise his shoulder will be thrown off plane and the big pull comes.

So the hands are dropping (dramatically) while the shoulder begins to move as well, so it has the look of a small OTT move.

I could be wrong, but to me he's looking like 'Faldo under Leadbetter' more and more everyday. Much more restrained and mechanical looking now.
