Everything swinging too far right....except the club!

How do you fix someone who's pivot swings too far right (i.e. closed) but the club actually swings too far left?

The Fix is on...!

How do you fix someone who's pivot swings too far right (i.e. closed) but the club actually swings too far left?

You have to fix the chicken (the left move with the power package), or the egg (the body trying to move the "move" to the right).

This is an easy way, but there are other ways....

First, get the golfer to unwind correctly to the left foot. Make sure they stay somewhat n their forward torso tilt. To do that their rear end has to be outside this left heel.

Then, get them to swivel--and then finish--with their left thumb under the club.

Sounds good yet Steve (Ringer)?

Now the ball is probably going left of Hillary, so now you can introduce the inside-aft quadrant, axis tilt, and the underhanded javelin throw....

....as needed....:D

Heh.. yup.. that'll make em swing left.

I would have to see the swing but most every time someone has a flip release, the right elbow flies up so that the right arm is parallel to the ground. I'd just work on finishing with the right forearm pointing the elbow toward the ground. He'll end up hooking it if he does that, but that's when you start working on the swinging left part. But that's just me.

It's one thing to say swing right of Rush--that makes a point. Swinging left of Hilary doesn't--maybe left of Michael Moore.

To clarify.. I said someone that FLIPS will usually chicken wing. You can chicken wing and not flip. But it's rare someone flips without chicken wing'n.

Are Goosen and Westwood making their wing due to radius issues ( primary lever = left arm and club) whereas most flippers make their wings to prevent excess closing clubface issues?? Maybe??

The Goosen-version "question mark primary lever" (my term) is present in some odd places.

A couple of well known TGMers who—by the way—don't agree on much, both do it some themselves.

I also call it "hanging a new hinge" with the left elbow....trying to stay ahead of a flip, or getting futher ahead of a very sharp angle of attack.

Thanks Brian, but how do you fix the left move with the power package without introducing any weird and unintentional plane shift? Also maintaining pivot lag.
