Explanar, Butch Harmon and Luther Blacklock

Can someone help me. I am an AI and I live in the Uk. I have visited Luther Blaclock the inventor of the Explanar. We had a discussion about his product. I said it was a poor product and was not worth the money. My arguement was that it ignored shaft plane and you could not guarantee to be on any plane until the top because of the plane finn. Mr Blacklock mentioned shaft plane did not matter. I also do not understand Butch Harmon promoting the Explanar and a laser training system. These products contridict each other in my opinion. I have emailed Mr Harmon three times, but I am yet to receive a reply.

What are your opinions of the Explanar?

I think it would force people to all be using the same plane, it doesn't look like it would like many plane shifts.

I like butch's laser trainer and use it all the time for my own use and my lessons. Great way to show how one end of the shaft is always pointing at the plane line unless it's parallel to it.

I may not be a Tour Player...

...but, dammit, I am a HALL-OF-FAME poser!

When I get in a device that makes me do funny things, I don't like it much.

The explaner doesn't make me get in horrible positions, but it isn't very good either.

Not worth the money, and the people that run the company are a little "over confident."

Thanks for your comments guys. I agree with all of them. I use the lasers to teach with as well and I find them perfect for helping people with plane issues.

I have also experienced a lesson with Mr Blacklock on the explaner. Maybe ok for high handicaps, but even swinging on a plane similar to what it wants you to do won't stop you pivoting incorrectly and flipping it. To expensive for what it is.

It is scientifically wrong. And it is demonstrated by both Harmon and Blacklock with incorrect assembly of power package and flipping. It does no good for golf other than become an impressive shop fitting in someones teaching bay that attracts attention from golf nut's looking for the next fad fix!

We all know that Zero Shifts aren't all that real world.

But aside from all that I think it looks dumb flat-out and I wouldn't be caught dead standing anywhere near it unless I was laughing. I would bend over and pretend to tie my shoes. I would point somewhere else and run. I would put my hands in my pockets and whistle nonchalantly. Just say no.

ExplanEr is lamer.

....

(haha that was fun)
