The author dedicated it to Brian Manzella and John Graham (noted near bottom of paper above references).

Great read Willgolfer.
Can't believe you didn't include the work of Cochran & Stobbs - 1968, Search for the Perfect Swing though in this paper! They had so much right, way before Trackman came along.
Have you looked at the size of the D-plane wedge and its relationship with launch angle and spin rate; only omission I could find.
