Falling Back

I often fall back (stay back) on my rear leg when I hit driver. I don't get as solid of contact- as much compression- but I can still hit good drives. Seems like you don't hit down as much from that rear leg.

Kind of like Mickelson used to do.

Anyway what's this from? I want to fix it.

I'm thinking it's from being too quick in the Start-Down and not allowing myself to shift my weight completely onto my left leg.

Any thoughts?

No, not at address. During your backswing pivot. If you exaggerate the "lean to the right" look you won't be able to get back to the ball.

OR

You simply might just be reverse pivoting a little bit.

No it's neither man. I move my head back- and only a couple inches.

I used to really try and load up on that rear leg and move my head back...before I started with TGM.

You fall back becuse EITHER:

The clubface is TOO open and you NEED to start the slice way left...

or

You DON'T have ENOUGH tilt and you tilt at the last second.

Well I don't slice so it must be the second one. Um...you mean tilt at address or...tilt as in "get the drunk guy off your back" tilt.
