Feet at Address

Hi Guys,
Just wondered the setup of the feet. In Brian's article he suggests straight right, slightly out turned left (right handers).
Brian, if your reading should this be the case for any type of swing?
Many Pro's seem to setup with both feet dead straight (90 degrees).
Are the feet's setup relative to hip turn? If so, would a slightly out turned right foot be advisable to someone to help their hip turn on the backswing. (and limit it on the downswing).
Thanks, Danny.

I would say yes. Increases hip turn....

Not so sure about restricting anything on the downswing tho (although the left foot would if it was toed-in towards centre).

Thnx for the replies guys. It seems everyone advocates a 90 degree straight right foot. Consistency for once! But *why* when most don't have enough hip turn going back? Or does the right foot have nothing to do with this? Many moons ago it seemed the right foot should be out turned a little.

Think of a baseball pitcher pushing off the pitching mound. Try to do this with your foot splayed. No bueno.
And Brian, sorry to hear about your friend, David Toms needing a heart surgery in ten days.
That guy is awesome and seems a real gentleman. He'll be back soon.

The left foot more IN makes it easier to stop the hips at the right time.

If you need more hip turn going back...try a closed stance and(or) a pre-turned hip.
