FLAT LEFT WRIST CONFUSION

Great picture - I assume the back of the flat left wrist is facing the target just like the club head at impact

It might be easier if you associate the flat left wrist with the club FACE instead of the club head.

Shouldn't the left wrist although flat, be pointing in the direction when it naturally hangs, that is not always at the target?

Brian what are you saying?

Flat wrist will be in alignment with the clubface, both at impact fix facing the same direction?

If so how does this account for the grip variations and wrist combinations?

Thank you cause there are a whole bunch of people say that a FLAT LEFT WRIST means it lines up with the clubface. I fear a number of golfers maybe introducing problems into their swing or at least advocating something that you havent said, nor I.

Hopefully the word will get around.

In the picture, the left wrist isn't completely facing the target. I can still see a couple of knuckles and seems like it returns to the position that it is in when it naturally hangs.

Just so no one is getting confused. The flat left wrist is used for clubface alignment (and the thrust direction as well). Go to impact fix and check your alignment. Its by far the most dependable checkout you can make in that respect. Now...the EXACT direction the left wrist is facing may be different from golfer to golfer, but it is absolutely used for clubface alignment. The other being the trail forearm facing down the line (or cross line) at impact.

That is why Homer says to go to impact fix, verify alignments and THEN MONITOR THE HANDS. By monitoring the hands, you dont need to worry about the clubface or clubhead you just monitor the hands and take them to the same location established at impact fix. Hands ahead, forearm on plane, flat left wrist facing out to right field....

Brian is saying whatever your alignment is at impact fix is the alignment it should be at impact.
