When you have a garden, you have to weed & feed, you have to clip & trim. You need to mulch.
If you have a house you have to cut the grass, mop the floors, vacuum, and constantly pick up.
When you run a web forum, especially a golf related one, you have constant upkeep.
This is one of those times—again.
Yesterday, someone who knew better, posted a BLATANT advertisement for their "teaching program."
This is totally against the rules, and it is gone.
We often have folks who post on here AS IF THIS WERE THEIR SITE, or they were a MANZELLA-CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR.
They tell us what THEY TEACH, how THEY TEACH, and on, and on.
I do not CARE A LICK what anyone THINKS they have to ADD to this site in the form of THEIR STUFF.
I don't want to see it again, and I won't tolerate it, even if they are a good friend, or family member, or work for the Pope.
This is a MILLION HIT A MONTH web forum because OF ME, and my HAND-PICKED, TRAINED staff.
READ THE FOLLOWING VERY CAREFULLY
Here is what you can post about on BrianManzella.com:
1. You can ask me and my staff ANY question you wish about golf, or related things like video cameras, computers, TrackMan, etc.
2. ANYONE can chime in on one of those types of questions, but if you are any teacher who doesn't work for me, or with me, do it "generically," don't make it into a thinly veiled advertisement.
3. You can post your swing and ask for help from me and my staff. But, again, ANYONE can chime in on one of those types of questions, but if you are any teacher who doesn't work for me, or with me, do it "generically," don't make it into a thinly veiled advertisement.
4. You can post up a swing sequence and comment on it, and any one else can comment on it as well, but...if you are any teacher who doesn't work for me, or with me, do it "generically," don't make it into a thinly veiled advertisement.
5. If you are a golfer, or a NON-GOLFER, you can DEBATE ME on ANY THING we stand for, believe in, have commented on, etc
I'll either slice and dice you for practice, or I, and everyone else, will learn something new, and I will except my "defeat," smiling, of course, because I learned something new.
6. Any comments defending some other METHODOLOGY, MUST BE directed at me, and must not be turned into another thinly veiled advertisement.
7. Lots of folks over the years, have thought themselves to be ABOVE THE RULES, and thought themselves to be IMPORTANT TO THE SITE.
The ones we banned for breaking the rules, WERE NEVER MISSED.
The next few won't be either.
