This website & forum are here for one main reason—

Promoting me, my teaching, my writing, my videos, my schools, and my associates. :D

Really.

That's why Target, Apple, J.Crew, and Dell have websites as well.

There is also another reason for this forum:

Uncovering all the TRUTH about the golf swing, learning and teaching it. And blowing up the folks who are NOT about the truth.

As website/forum attendees/members, you get the finest free info, free entertainment, and less spin than any place else on the web, or in golf.

There are inherent problems with an "open forum."

1. Competitors and friends and followers of Competitors posting, PMing, and emailing for the harm of the Brian Manzella Golf Academy, and the benefit of their "group."

2. Folks who just want to disrupt things with no agenda besides "look at me" issues.

3. Spammers.

4. Folks who want to talk about religion or politics.

So we try to keep things readable, and we have found issues and people over the years that are so hot button, that their very mention warrants a deletion.

Thanks,

BManz, Grand Poobah

One of the few other forums in which I participate, has rules that make this site seem like the wild west.

It is a forum for people, who enjoy Mercedes Benz automobiles. Mostly frugal sorts that enjoy saving a buck, trading knowledge, and correctly maintaining these fine machines.

Zero swearing allowed, no caps shouting, no even remotely off color jokes, no religion, no politics, nothing that basically has no answer. Everything else is fine. It has worked well for many years. When they decide to ban someone, they just pull out the "Pooferator"!

I for one would much rather discuss controlling your low point than controlling your other thing.

Thank you for that Brian. And when the time comes again in 10 or so weeks I will enjoy discussing the worlds number one golfer and his golf game.

Hey Brian I was just wondering, I don't know if its been discussed before, but why isn't your forum divided into any other sub-catgories besides Golfing discussions. Sometimes it just makes it a little harder to find stuff. I do agree with you that having non golfing or otherwise non-applicable material is a wise choice, because that is the number one reason I don't like reading some other forums. Also maybe you could have a category where it lays out your TRUTH about the golf swing, because its very difficult at times to find where you said something. Or if your a member who hasn't been here since the early days of the forum and doesn't know your stance on something.

Great questions!

Categories or sub-forums have been tried before.

I will be updating the whole site soon, and we will have a TRUTH section. ;)

Im guessing this is in reply to my post made earlier... I apologize bman, I certainly didnt mean to disrespect you or the forum rules, I honastly havent been able to get online, or on the website in quite some time, and when all of this headline making news started breaking, the first thing I said to myself was, "I wonder how everyone is reacting on BM.com..."

anyway, I apologize again, I hope you understand it was just a misunderstanding on my end.

Would there be any thought of a section for newbies to learn some of the fundamentals so that we could more easily follow the discussions? I understand your time is limited, but I suspect one of your newer instructors, or a trusted veteran of the board would enjoy moderating such a subforum.

I've poked around other forums, but I keep coming home.

This thing works and it works awesome! I hope the "new" version doesn't take away some of the beautiful simplicity you have already.

+1. I joined this forum after buying a few of the videos and thought I would be able to bounce questions off Brian or another pro. I've received advice from members, but seems my questions are too amateur-ish to warrant any attention from the pros. Would be nice to have one instructor humor me.

RI, why not ask the forum for recommendations for an instructor in your general vicinity? Even if you cannot find a Manzella Instructor within reasonable distance, if you find a guy who follows this forum or is reccomended by one of the regulars, you will be way ahead of the game. The DVDs are great, but nothing beats personal instruction.

I have noticed I can now hit left-hand-only chips. But I think I need to go alot further with my chip/pitch exercises and maintain that flat wrist all the way through, instead of flipping it after impact.

Have you tried to hit little 15 yard chip shots with your right hand only on the club?

Brian also has some good information in his youtube videos.
You can also do a search in the forum for more information than you will ever need on the golf swing.

You are in the right place for the best information on the golf swing!

I am in the Providence, RI area. Would love to find an instructor in RI or southern Massachesetts.

I apologize if I turned this thread OT. I just thought troynygolfer had a pretty good idea to have a section for newbie questions.

Because Religion and other personal beliefs will make for an all out war.

Here we have the biggest story for golfdom affecting the planet. Rephrase. The biggest story on the planet!

Is it relevant? Yes! direct impact on golf and the golf swing!

Is it politicizing? Well, ask the PGA commissioner on his thoughts and the major sponsors. Let's ask Barack! Even he had an opinion on Kanye!

Religion and basic beliefs are just like the golf swing,,, has as many ways to "just do it". Let's hear it! Jesper, speak up!

With the uncovering story, what does this mean to golf in general? How long will it take the mental game to refocus? What will it do to golf viewership? Major championships?

Bman, let's roll with this!
